Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20 2002) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. In the latter half of 2010 she became famous for her roles as the lead actress in Disney's television programs Bizaardvark (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series). Rodrigo was successful in releasing her debut single Driver's License in 2020 after having signed with Interscope Records (Geffen) and Interscope Records (Interscope Records). It broke numerous records and was one of her top songs in 2021. The following year, she released singles "Deja Vu" and "Good 4 U", and then released her first solo album, Sour (2021), that was a commercial and critical acclaim and received numerous awards, like three Grammy Awards. In 2022, Olivia Rodrigo, a Disney+ documentary about her creative process, Olivia Rodrigo. Driving Home 2 U followed. Rodrigo was one of the Billboard Hot 100 #1 single and one Billboard 200 #1 album and five multiPlatinum-certified albums by the Recording Industry Association of America. She has also been honored by the American Music Award and seven Billboard Music Awards. Time named her the 2021 Entertainers' Of The Year. Billboard named it Woman of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was conceived at Rancho Springs Medical Center Murrieta in California to Jennifer Rodrigo and Chris Rodrigo. Her birthplace was Temecula, California. Rodrigo is Filipino American. Rodrigo has an Irish and a German mother. [6][9][10] It has been stated by Rodrigo that her great-grandfather's paternal line moved from the Philippines to America as a teenager. Her family continues to follow Filipino customs and cuisines. Rodrigo began singing in kindergarten, and soon began playing the piano. [12] She began taking singing and acting classes at age six and started performing in theatre productions in elementary school. Rodrigo was already playing guitar by 12 years old. [12] She grew-up listening to alternative music like Pearl Jam and No Doubt. Rodrigo discovered her love for writing songs after listening to country music, such as Taylor Swift. [14] After she got her Bizaardvark part, Rodrigo relocated to Los Angeles.
